PC-Based Automatic Measurement Unit of Average Rod Speed

Pneumatic (Cortical) Impact  Device With Automatic Average Rod Speed Measurement Unit (RSMU)

Advantages:

  • Display the waveform of rod movement during the hitting process
  • Automatic and accurate measurement of the average rod speed
  • Record Table available for record of animal information, the applied high and  low pressures, other experimental events and the corresponding times for the events
  • Experimental results can be saved as a file for further analysis
  • Experimental Report available for print out
  • Easy operation
  • No oscilloscope is needed
  • No manual calculation for the conversion of voltage and rod location

Major Features:

1. Display of Rod Movement Waveform and Measurement of Average Rod Speed

  • Display the waveform of rod movement during the experimental hitting process on a PC screen
  • Automatically measure the rise time of the rod movement, calculate and display the average rod speed (speed of rod movement from 10% to 90% of the entire movement length)
  • The rise time of the rod movement, average rod speed and the corresponding hitting time will be displayed on PC screen and can be saved to the experimental report.

2. Record Table Provided on the Computer Screen for Recording Animal Information

    and Other Events

  • Animal information such as animal type, assigned animal number and animal weight etc. can be typed-in for record
  • Other experimental events and the corresponding times can also be typed into the table.

3. Results Data Saved as a File for Retrieving

  • The experimental results, the typed-in animal information, the content on the record table along with the rising portion of the rod movement waveform can be saved as a file
  • The results and other information can be retrieved for further analysis.

4. Experimental Report is Provided

  • A standard Experimental Report with all animal information and the experimental results can be printed out from the retrieved report file.
